Transgender and gender-nonconforming (TGNC) people face significant barriers to achieving health equity. On March 31, 2020 in honor of International Transgender Day of Visibility, NCSD is hosting a webinar in an effort to combat transphobia and cissexism. To continue NCSD’s work in improving the capacity of STD Clinics to meet the needs of their TGNC clients, presenters will discuss the processes necessary for STD clinics to identify and meet said needs via community engagement, data collection, programming, and policy.
Objectives
This webinar’s goal is to focus attention on:
- The needs of gender expansive people engaging in care
- The unique opportunities and gaps for data collection (specific to STD and HIV)
- How to engage communities in program and policy
