Diagnostics Direct is generously donating Syphilis Health Check™ tests for jurisdictions that are planning an STD testing event as part of their STD Awareness Week activities. Please fill out this short application for the chance to be awarded free tests. Awarded sites may be asked to write a brief blog about their Syphilis Health Check activities.

Syphilis Health Check™ is the first and only CLIA waived test that detects Treponema pallidum antibodies in human whole blood, serum or plasma and takes 10 minutes to process. This test should be performed only on patients who do not have a previous history of syphilis. All supplies are subject to availability of stock. This test would be ideal for:

• A facility that does onsite stat nontreponemal tests but sends samples out for confirmatory testing
• A facility that has considered transitioning to this test but would like the opportunity to pilot this test first

Areas this test would be ideal for are:

• Rural areas that are experiencing an increase in syphilis
• Areas with high rates of maternal and congenital syphilis
• Areas near urban centers that are experiencing increases in syphilis
