For the fifth year in a row, STDs have reached record highs. We need your help getting the nation to talk about STDs!
CDC just released theĀ 2018Ā STD Surveillance ReportĀ highlighting that STDs have surged for the fifth consecutive year, reaching all-time highs and increased deaths related to congenital syphilis. NCSD released a press statement calling for more support for STD prevention. Whether you’re a health department, STD program, or organization working in the STD field, we need your help to spread the word about this public health threat. It is more important than ever to shine a light on these epidemics!
Below are some resources you can use to spread the word.
These posts are meant to complement and leverage an official statement that provides context, including factors contributing to STDs and health department efforts to address them. (For all options, jurisdictions that want to highlight a specific disease rather than all STDs can just replace āSTDsā with the specific disease name.)
