On January 6, we witnessed a horrific attack on our government and democracy. The pervasiveness of white supremacy was on full display and resulted in the predominately white mob being treated in stark contrast to Black Lives Matter protestors and activists by law enforcement.
Racism continues to be a threat to public health. To end HIV and reduce other STDs, we must confront the systems that allow trends in health inequities to persist, and NCSD stands with those seeking to dismantle longstanding systemic racism in the U.S. and end the violence that it fuels.
