Important Update Regarding STD Engage 2021

Dear Colleagues,

Due to developments within our field regarding expanded funding to rebuild the DIS workforce, the NCSD board of directors recently decided to cancel STD Engage 2021. In coordination with the Division of STD Prevention and our STD Engage planning committee, NCSD is in the process of exploring different ways to provide technical assistance to our field, which will likely take the form of virtual activities taking place in the fall or winter over several weeks to allow a more user-friendly virtual experience.

Please note the following:

  • If you wrote an abstract with the intention of submitting it for consideration for STD Engage this year, fear not!  Please send it to Kathleen Jeanty, NCSD’s director, communications at [email protected]. We are always looking for ideas for webinars, and we would welcome consideration of your abstract as a potential webinar topic to be hosted by NCSD in the coming months.
  • For industry partners, we will still welcome sponsorships for future technical assistance activities. Although these activities will be spread over several weeks, we will still host networking events and social activities, during which you will still have an opportunity to reach NCSD’s members. Now more than ever, with expanded DIS funding, our field is growing, resulting in new opportunities for you too!
  • We will send additional updates as they become available. If you have additional questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Best,

David C. Harvey
Executive Director
