The Virtual Hill Day for STD Prevention is a way for NCSD members and partners to safely educate policymakers on STD prevention without traveling to Washington, DC!  On Tuesday, April 26th, NCSD members and partners are invited to send one of the prepared electronic letters below to federal policymakers to educate them on the importance of STD control programs.

How does it work?

  1. Choose the appropriate letter to educate your member of congress on STD prevention in your region.
    • Educational Letter:  The Educational Letter is designed to educate policy makers on recent STD trends and the critical work of STD control program, and can safely be sent on employee or personal time. The letter also includes a customizable section to enter local data (we recommend keeping the body of this letter to 1600 characters or below including spaces)
    • Advocacy Letter: The Advocacy Letter is designed to educate policy makers on recent STD trends and the critical work of STD control programs, but also to encourage their support of DSTDP funding.  This letter can be sent by private citizens on their personal time and from personal computers or by members or partners on non-public time
  1. Enter in your personal information to identify your member of congress.
  2. Hit send!

If you have questions or concerns, please contact NCSD’s Director of Policy and Communications, Stephanie Arnold Pang.
