Programs that consider the needs of young people are key to improving adolescent sexual health. School and health staff can advance health policies and practices with the right tools and resources, with young people in mind! NCSD is proud to share five new job aids to empower people with valuable information to build capacity. Job aids are guides that provide simple steps to achieve a goal.

  1. Youth Engagement – Interested in centering youth in your programs but not sure where to start? Check out 5 strategies to engage youth in meaningful and inclusive ways.
  2. Partnering with DIS – How can DIS support sexual health services in schools? Consider these 6 options that can enhance access to STI testing, treatment, and partner services.
  3. Tech and Sexual Health – Considering a telehealth model that is youth friendly? We put together a checklist to ensure that your virtual set-up is inclusive for young people.
  4. What Works in Outbreaks: Adolescent Health Edition – NCSD applied CDC DASH’s What Works in School framework to demonstrate how school and health staff can support sexual health-related outbreak response.
  5. Parental Rights and Adolescent Sexual Health – This guide unpacks parental rights policies and how they impact adolescent sexual health. Along with a snapshot of current bills that were introduced this year, you’ll find ways that you can educate lawmakers about the impact of parental rights legislation.
