On April 20^th, Rebekah Horowitz, senior manager, policy and government relations, will be leaving NCSD to join the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) in their HIV, STI, and Viral Hepatitis program. We’d like to congratulate Rebekah on her new opportunity, and we are thankful for her contributions to NCSD.

“On behalf of the NCSD policy team, I would like to thank Rebekah for her dedication and passion for our members over the last four years,” says Stephanie Arnold Pang, NCSD’s director, policy and government relations. “In particular, her work expanding and professionalizing our Policy Academy has grown the organization’s state policy expertise.  I congratulate her on this new position!”

Rebekah would like to offer her thanks, as well. “I have really enjoyed my time working with NCSD’s members—you are an amazing and passionate bunch.  I am proud especially of our success in growing the Policy Academy and NCSD’s state policy stamp, as well as our efforts to increase federal funding for all the essential work that you all do. I look forward to being able to continue to work on STD issues and see you all at STD Engage 2018 in Orlando!”

Taryn Couture will be assuming the Senior Manager, Policy and Government Relations position effective April 23.  Please email Taryn with any policy TA requests.  NCSD will be hiring for the Manager, Policy and Government Relations role and will update you when that position is filled.
