Empowering public health leaders with the vision, knowledge, and skills to drive transformative change, inspire collaboration, and create inclusive, equitable solutions for workforce challenges.
NCSD’s PEAK Leadership program for STI Directors and others in leadership roles aims to increase the capacity of program leadership to serve as a catalyst for change and demonstrate and communicate program accomplishments. Through the PEAK Leadership program, we’ll focus on increased knowledge and understanding of effective leadership by developing enhanced knowledge and skills in public policy, visionary leadership, strategic planning, program planning, critical thinking, problem solving, people development, response readiness, and cultural competence.
To empower public health leaders with the vision, knowledge, and skills to drive transformative change, inspire collaboration, and create inclusive, equitable solutions for workforce challenges.
During the duration of the PEAK Leadership Academy, participants will be guided through NCSD’s Learning Center (LMS) and take part in several learning activities including self-paced asynchronous e-learning modules, live and/or pre-recorded webinars, and an action learning project. Each month, the participant will be required to do no more than 4 hours of required activity.
Throughout the duration of the academy, participants will also be encouraged to answer specific questions in the discussion forums and engage in dialogue with their cohort participants. In general, participants are welcome to use the forums as frequently as they wish to voice ideas, comments, questions, etc.
