This position serves as the Director of HIV Care Services unit within the Division of Disease Prevention (Office of Epidemiology). DDP’s mission is to maximize public health and safety through the elimination, prevention, and control of disease, disability, and death caused by HIV/AIDS, viral hepatitis, and other sexually transmitted diseases. This position serves as the Principal Investigator/Program Director for the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program Part B grant which includes the Virginia Medication Assistance Program (VA MAP), also known as the AIDS Drug Assistance Program. Supports long range planning, delivery and evaluation of core medical and support services of people with HIV through formal supervision and program management. Establishes and maintains mechanisms for budget tracking and rebate forecasting. Ensures collection and reporting of required Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) program indicators and other monitoring and evaluation measures. Ensures compliance with federal and state legislative and program requirements. Oversees stakeholder engagement with constituent groups, lawmakers, public and private health care providers, other Ryan White Parts A, C, and D, and local health districts. Ensures provision of capacity building, technical assistance, quality management and integrated planning, facilities, and equipment resources. Disseminates programmatic outcomes through publications and presentations at local, regional, and national meetings.
