This week, the Senate passed its fiscal year (FY) 2017 Budget Resolution, which includes a process– called budget reconciliation– that would repeal the Affordable Care Act (ACA) through separate legislation at a later date.  This FY2017 Budget Resolution will be taken up by House of Representatives starting today, though there are concerns within the Republicans in the House of Representatives about repealing the ACA so quickly, particularly without any proposal to replace the health care law.
