PrEP is an effective HIV prevention strategy for youth 15–24 years of age—a population that makes up one in five new HIV diagnoses in the U.S. Challenges related to medical, privacy, social, and economic factors can complicate providing PrEP care. This webinar will provide clinical, non-clinical, and personal considerations around improving access to PrEP in youth. Presenters will focus on practical strategies for engaging younger adults, such as culturally competent clinical resources, covering PrEP costs, and ensuring confidentiality.

Educational Objectives:

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be better able to:
• Recognize barriers to PrEP access among adolescents and young adults.
• Identify strategies for increasing access to PrEP for young adults.
• Develop strategies for the healthcare team to maximize PrEP adherence.
