Webinar: PrEP: New York City’s Implementation Strategy
A glimpse into how the NYC health department has successfully merged its STD and HIV prevention efforts.
In partnership with CAI, NCSD is co-hosting a webinar featuring Drs. Susan Blank and Demetre Daskalakis, of the New York City Department of Health & Mental Hygiene (DOHMH). The purpose of the webinar is to provide a glimpse into how the NYC health department has successfully merged its STD and HIV prevention efforts and ways in which Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), comprehensive STD screening, and high-impact HIV prevention are operationalized within the sexual health clinics. This webinar will be a time for NYCDOHMH to share its strategies, successes, and challenges with a national audience. By attending this webinar audience members will understand how STD Clinics are an entry point for identifying PrEP candidates and how to foster partnerships between STD clinics and PrEP services, especially around implementation, and public/private partnerships.
