The COVID-19 pandemic has shown that racial inequities and health disparities exist within disenfranchised communities. Minority groups have been disproportionately impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, resulting in higher infection rates and deaths, similar to the existing HIV epidemic. This webinar aims to:

  • Discuss structural barriers related to HIV prevention and COVID-19 vaccine uptake
  • Discuss the similarities and differences between the COVID-19 pandemic and HIV epidemic
  • Address the importance of using a racial equity lens to end both the COVID-19 Pandemic and the HIV Epidemic
  • Discuss community messages, solutions and best practices to address racial inequities in disenfranchised communities
