Over the last year, NACCHO has been collecting information on congenital syphilis prevention and control interventions from health departments across the United States, sharing the collected responses in a compendium. In collaboration with NASTAD and NCSD, the compendium is now expanding to include perinatal HIV prevention and control interventions. Preventing perinatal HIV and congenital syphilis are critical priorities for public health as both can be prevented with timely testing and treatment. NACCHO, NASTAD, and NCSD invite health departments to submit activities that aim to prevent congenital syphilis and perinatal HIV. We welcome interventions that address the entire spectrum of congenital syphilis and perinatal HIV including prevention, screening, case management, and treatment for people with childbearing capacity. This compendium serves as a resource for peer-to peer collaboration, inspiring and improving perinatal HIV and congenital syphilis prevention efforts nationwide.
