NCSD submitted comments to the draft STI National Strategic Plan, which was released by the Office of Infectious Disease and HIV/AIDS Policy at the Department of Health and Human Services on September 18.

NCSD’s comments highlight that this draft plan is comprehensive, data-driven, and strongly discusses stigma, and social determinants of health, but highlighted a number of points for improvement. These included that this draft plan included no plan for implementation, no mention of financing, did not mention racism or STI’s impact on trans people.
