Event Description

Using their expertise in facilitating partner services and linking patients to care, Disease Intervention Specialists (DIS) play a major role in outbreak response across the country. Their skills in interviewing, counseling, and community engagement are ones that are highly needed when there are sharp upticks in STD morbidity. Join NCSD for the second webinar of the DIS Community of Practice to hear how DIS have been employed in New York State, Louisiana, and Texas to address rises in syphilis. There will be engaging presenters followed by an engaging peer-to-peer discussion!
