Webinar: Innovative Approaches to Social Media and the HIV Response

Hosted By
NASTAD
Event Date
April 25

NASTAD will host a webinar on Thursday, April 25 from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm EST focused on Innovative Approaches to Social Media and the HIV Response.

Social media continues to be a major strategy to reach broad audiences with educational materials, outreach for different testing opportunities, partner services, and more. As such, health departments must continue to be aware of which social media platforms are being used by different populations and how to effectively reach the largest number of persons possible.

The following topic areas will be covered:

  • NASTAD will showcase its social media strategic planning curriculum and how we can provide technical assistance in your social media needs.
  • The Building Health Online Communities Coalition will discuss its work with gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men online dating apps.
  • The Georgia Department of Health will detail its social media use to promote PrEP among women of color.

To join the webinar, please register here. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
