April is STD Awareness Month and Diagnostics Direct has provided a second donation of 2,000 Syphilis Health Check^TM tests to the National Coalition of STD Directors to combat the ongoing syphilis epidemic here in the US. The goal for this donation is to award 200 tests to ten different sites who are planning an STD testing event as part of their STD Awareness Month activities. Tests are limited so apply early!

This donation would be ideal for:

• Any STD testing event occurring during STD Awareness Month
• A facility that already has protocols in place to use Syphilis Health Check^TM tests
• A facility that could put protocols in place in time to use the Syphilis Health Check^TM tests as part of a testing event in April

Syphilis Health Check^TM are the first and only CLIA waived tests that detect Treponema pallidum antibodies in human whole blood, serum or plasma and take ten minutes to process. These tests should only be performed on patients who do not have a previous history of syphilis.

Areas these tests would be ideal for are:

• Rural areas that are experiencing an increase in syphilis
• Areas with high rates of maternal and congenital syphilis
• Areas near urban centers that are experiencing increases in syphilis
