NCSD is looking for peer-to-peer collaborators to serve as TA specialists on providing innovative and effective STD prevention services to MSM.
In the field of STD prevention, it is a known fact that MSM are facing a sexual health crisis. While STD rates across the country continue to soar, MSM continually account for a majority of new STD and HIV cases. Despite the overwhelming odds faced by our field, NCSD recognizes that jurisdictions all over the country have been breaking new ground in the fight against STDs and HIV in MSM populations. In an effort to promote more cross collaboration and strategy sharing, NCSD wishes to highlight individuals and resources that have proven to be innovative and effective in providing STD prevention services to MSM. These TA specialists, or āPeer-to-Peer collaboratorsā, will be listed as resources in the soon to be released MSM Services Report Card. This newly developed tool acts as a self-assessment for jurisdictions to use in order to see if their MSM services are up to snuff. The report card also attempts to set a standard for what quality MSM care should look like. Peer-to-Peer Collaborators are needed on the following topics:
If you are interested in being listed as a Peer-to-Peer Collaborator, or know someone who might, please reach out the Neil Rana, nrana@ncsddc.org, for more information on how to do so and what this would entail.
