NCSD Staff Head to the New York City LGBT Pride March
On June 24, NCSD staff members, Leandra Lacy, Neil Rana, and Taryn Couture, joined Trojan at the NYC Pride March. While wearing shirts that said “Protect Your Wang,” they assisted with handing out Trojan-branded temporary tattoos to the hundreds of thousands of people watching the march from the sidelines. “Protect Your Wang,” a collaboration with fashion designer Alexander Wang, seeks to promote sexual health education so it was fitting that NCSD staff also assisted in handing out condoms to spectators. The afternoon was filled with confetti, dancing, and a whole lot of fun. A variety of nonprofits and community organizations had colorful parade floats and were blasting music as they rode along the route. Trojan’s float included a DJ, shirtless male models, and Alexander Wang himself. The energy was extremely high as those in the LGBT community and their allies came together in one of the world’s largest Pride events. Thanks for the opportunity to participate in the march, Trojan!
