Elizabeth is NCSD’s Director, Communications. She has nearly two decades of extensive experience in strategic communications, branding, media relations, and policy analysis, as well as communications for organizations supporting child and family health.
Prior to joining NCSD, Elizabeth was the Chief External Affairs Officer at SHIFT NC (Sexual Health Initiatives For Teens), where she oversaw communications and public policy engagement to improve young peopleās sexual health in North Carolina. While there, she led the effort to expand the organizationās scope and mission to include a broader range of sexual health topics, including STDs, and launched parent- and teen-facing brands to expand access to information and healthcare.
Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Communications from Appalachian State University and is based in Durham, NC.
