NCSD has partnered with the CDC to assess and improve consumer messages about MPV, and this week we revealed the results of our first message testing panel. We used an AI-based panel session tool called Remesh to get input from 50 men who have sex with men – most unvaccinated and most Black and Latino – specifically on the MPV vaccine and vaccine messaging. We asked important questions about what has influenced their decisions about vaccines and who they trust for health information. This is the first session in a series. The full slide deck on key takeaways is available now.
The National MPV Working Group met this week for its last meeting before the midterm elections. While the case numbers have slowed, clinics, programs, and organizations still feel the financial strain of the resonse and equity gaps still linger in helping people access basic care. The working group is focusing on how to keep Congressional leaders apprised of the needs and on the impact of the elections.
