Dear Colleagues and Friends,

As part of NCSD’s new strategic direction, I am thrilled to unveil our new logo and website, now live at ncsddc.org. Please take a look and give us your feedback!

Our “stepping stones” logo is a fresh look for NCSD – it captures the connection between sectors of our field and our central goal of reducing STDs and HIV in America by linking program science with state public health best practices. It is these themes and connections that also are included in our new website.

New features of our website include:

• Improved search functions with a focus on quickly identifying needed resources.
• Technology platform that makes it easier to post updates and the latest news, using compelling and attractive imagery.
• Redesigned STD newsletter, posted to our website and also sent out each Friday afternoon, with new sections focused on STD program profiles and the latest news.
• Online forms to become an associate member of NCSD or for members to request technical assistance.
• Events page that lists current events, conferences and meetings, and information on how to get involved.
• Coming soon, membership databases that allows members to update their contact information and online advocacy tools.

The field of STDs is entering a new era characterized by fresh opportunities, a changed political environment, and challenges brought on by the highest STD rates in 20 years. NCSD is rising to this challenge by creating new resources and programs and a new advocacy presence, embodied in our website and logo.  We could not do this work without key partners like you – thank you for your ongoing support.
