The National Coalition of STD Directors (NCSD) is proud to announce the winners of a recent video campaign who will, combined, receive 500,000 donated Trojanā¢ Brand Condoms:Ā the Philadelphia Department of Public Health, the Oklahoma State Department of Health, and the Iowa Department of Public Health.Ā As part of NCSDāsĀ āCondoms (STILL) Work!ā campaign, and its on-going partnership with the maker of Trojanā¢ Brand Condoms, these donations, which are part of the brandās annual donation of 1 million condoms for the next 10 years, will aid in preventing the transmission of STDs, including HIV, as well as preventing unintended pregnancies in areas of great need.
To be eligible for this contest, all nominees submitted a video to NCSD, outlining why their organization should receive these donated condoms, and what they would do with them if they were to receive them.Ā Winners were chosen by how clear the nominees were on a distribution plan for the donated Trojanā¢ Brand Condoms, their demonstrated need for additional condom resources, and morbidity of disease.Ā Similar to the national trends, STD morbidity is steadily rising in the three winning jurisdictions andĀ the donated condoms will be used to outreach to most at-risk populations. The full winning video submissions can be found onĀ NCSD’s YouTube Channel.
Congrats to the winners!
