Back to Technical Assistance Page
As research and the literature around STDs continues to grow, improved ways of conducting STD screening, testing, and treatment will follow. Staying abreast of developments in testing and treatment guidelines will optimize the work that STD programs do. NCSD seeks to keep our members informed of updates in the field and provide technical assistance in implementing and improving their screening and treatment procedures.
NCSD offers a variety of STD screening, testing, and treatment technical assistance in the context of topics such as:
• Expedited Partner Therapy (EPT)
• Extragenital testing
• Outbreak response and elimination/action plans
• Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for HIV
Non Clinic-Based Self Collected Testing
As part of our Clinic+ Initiative, this spring we hosted the Testing Beyond the Clinic Webinar Series on non clinic-based self-collected testing. To build on this work, we are now proud to offer one-on-one technical assistance to sexual health clinics and state and local health departments on this topic. Do you have a specific question or request about non clinic-based self collected testing, implementation, or the lab component of it ? Please reach out to Jennifer Mahn at jmahn@ncsddc.org or (248) 765-5522.
